Ways we are making a difference in our children’s lives.
Hands on Art
Hands on Art is a program sponsored and developed by the PTA which allows parents to come into the classroom to teach an art lesson. The Hands on Art Projects of the year are scheduled for January and June 2015. Each classroom needs 1 parent teacher and several helpers. You must attend the workshop in the PAC if you would like to teach the class. Helpers can come join the fun, but attendance is not required. Look for more information from your room parents on the specific days and times of your child’s lesson coming soon.
Growing Great Garden Boxes
We are funding a wonderful new program this year in partnership with EnrichLA
The PTA worked hard to establish a garden program at Cabrillo. We are proud to say that there were 6 beautiful garden planter boxes located near the playground! A huge thank you to the many wonderful volunteers who donated their time and effort to build and paint the boxes. Our garden would not have been possible without their efforts. Classes previously have planted pumpkin seeds and were able to see the “fruits of our labor”. This year, EnrichLA will be visiting our school on a regular basis and proving gardening programs for all classrooms.
Here are just a few more programs PTA funds:

Holiday Giving Baskets
